ScienceGeekSpeak Episode 001 (testing)
In this, our first (testing) episode (maybe this is episode -1 ?), Mike and I speak about our plans for the future of ScienceGeekSpeak.
I introduce Bridge8 and our approach to science communications and foresight, including our base in sciences, and our desire to consider a range of perspectives. Mike introduces mikeseyfang.com. Mike is currently doing a consultancy with University of Adelaide on new media. Mike comes from an IT and education background where online communities are well established, but we both struggled to find active online science communities.
This podcast traces our hopes for www.sciencegeekspeak.com. We’re not interested in creating a site or brand for our finanical benefit. We’d like to provide a platform to help scientists share ideas and start authentic conversations. We see 24/7 conversations, audio and chat. We’re interested in substance over style and we’ll help you get started. We can’t wait to hear from you.
